Colwyn Model Railway Club is a club for model rail enthusiasts in North Wales. We meet twice weekly to share our projects and talk about our shared interest, and we attend and host exhibitions to showcase our work. Contact us today to find out more about how to join our group.
About Us
Abergele Clubrooms
The Club was founded in 1964 and is still active today.
Visitors are welcome at our clubroom located within Silverthorn Hall, Groes Lwyd, Abergele, LL22 7SU.

Comprehensive library of Railway Books
We meet every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) and Thursday from 7:00 pm. Club nights are relaxed and social, with members building models, developing layouts, sharing ideas, and, of course, running trains.
The first Monday of each month is our dedicated Running Night, when members are encouraged to bring along their own locomotives and rolling stock. However, models are welcome on any club night.
Our members have a wealth of modelling experience and are always happy to share their knowledge, making the club an ideal place for both experienced modellers and those new to the hobby. As one of the few model railway clubs in North Wales, we warmly welcome visitors and prospective new members.
Membership
When you join Colwyn Model Railway Club, you will become part of a thriving community of model railway enthusiasts who help each other, share their passion and meet regularly to socialise.
Annual Membership £45.00, Weekly Subs £6.00. Fees correct at July 2026.

Committee
Each year Colwyn Model Railway Club elect a Committee of Officers to lead the direction of the club. The 2026 AGM took place on Monday 13th April 2026 and elected the following officers for the following 12 months:
