Railway Modeller magazine has recently published a special article to honour the 60th anniversary of Colwyn Model Railway Club. For six decades, the club has been a cornerstone of the model railway community in North Wales, fostering a love for railways and miniature craftsmanship among enthusiasts of all ages.
Founded in 1964, the Colwyn Model Railway Club has grown from a small group of passionate hobbyists (some of which are still members today!) into a community of nearly 20 modellers covering a wide range of ages and backgrounds. The article in Railway Modeller highlights the club's rich history, detailing its humble beginnings, significant milestones, and how the club has overcome some challenging circumstances which prevented the hosting of a special birthday exhibition.
